Overview

Chorpenham was founded durring the early 11th century, by Èlkdo Burbidge. The establishment of Chorpenham was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Chorpenham 's construction back out of the project. Èlkdo Burbidge pushed on reguardles, and Chorpenham was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Chorpenham was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Chorpenham is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Chorpenham is is constructed arround a series of spacious flagstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The town's timber-based walls are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

The first thing you notice about Chorpenham is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.
